Hello flist,
I am super tired right now but am in need for some input ASAP so I'll make this short and sweet (though I will try to post about my actual life later): I currently have this car on hold at a dealership.
It's a 2003 Volkswagen Passat Wagon with under 100,000 miles. Ignore the price on the page; we reached a deal with the dealer to buy it for $6k, fees and tax included, a significant price saving from the listed $7k sale price excluding fees and tax.
I admit that I never really saw myself driving a wagon but it's been really difficult to find a decent car under 100k miles in my price range and this seems like a decent deal. I ordered the Carfax report and it has been in an accident, but it doesn't seem to have been a major one because another person bought the car and drove it for years afterward. We're gonna get it checked out by a mechanic either way though.
So I'm basically just looking for any kind of opinions about this - do you think this is a good deal? Do you or anyone you know have any kind of experience with this car? I'm doing my own research but having the input of my friends will make a HUGE difference, so I'd appreciate it if you could take a moment to think it over for me. Thank you!!

...I have no real input about what a good car would be or whether or not this is a good deal, but I just wanted to point out: a wagon might not be like the most stylish car or whatever, but it's sure helpful when transporting stuff. You can fit way more big shit in there, which is definitely a nice feature if you're planning to move in the forseeable future (which, well, you are?)
I'd try to figure out more info about the accident it had too, if you can.

When I was looking for cars I was able to find some in that price range- Ford Focus, Nissan Sentra's with fairly low mileage and not too old.
