Jan. 30th, 2008 10:52 pmOkay, it's official guys: nothing makes me happier than seeing Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert together. ♥ Last night I almost died of extreme squee during the Colbert Report, and I rewatched the scene and even though I knew it was coming, I still, again, almost died of extreme squee.
I can tell especially since these guys are the only people/things to ever make my toes curl... and when I watch that scene in particular? It's almost painful, I'm so gleeful. And weird bubbly giggly noises come out of my mouth and I grin so widely and damn, they make me happy.
Yeah sure there's other stuff in my life right now but who cares?!?!

I can finally do an alveolar trill! Or, in other words, the Spanish rolled r! :D
The evidence, in which I say "hoy esta calma que rompe el corazón" in ceceo/Castilian (right-click and save-as to download)
I have to work on it a little but you guys, you have no idea how long I've wanted to be able to do this sound! Ahhh I love it!
This is a very happy day for Bri indeed, and I haven't even gone to bed yet! Which I should get to now.... :D
ETA: I'm starting to think that by the time that my elementary Spanish class (180, the very first one) starts in February, I'm going to be, uh, kinda advanced for it, lol. So I've been considering taking the second one (185) instead. But to pull that off I'd have to cram for vocab I think, haha. Is this a good idea, y/n?
