All my life, one page at a time

Dear flist,

I would like you to meet Castiel, my new baby car:



It's a 1997 Toyota Camry LE with only 79,380 miles on it. It's in excellent condition and drives like a dream - seriously, the ride was so quiet and so smooth, it was even better than my dad's Lexus. There's more pictures and videos on the dealer website here if you're curious.

The only downside is that I'll be paying a little more than I was hoping to spend on a car - $6,500, not including taxes and fees. Tax alone bumps up the price to $7k, and I'm not sure yet how much the fees will be, but my dad assures me it won't be much.

I haven't officially bought it yet because I need to wait until my paycheck deposits on Wednesday to have enough money to cover it. But I do have a $500 deposit on it, so it is mine.

Honestly though, I'm fine with the price, because I am in love with this car, and thrilled that it's MINE. This baby is going to last me a long time so I definitely think it's worth it. Can't wait until I have it so I can show it off to everyone, and put my UC Santa Cruz Alumni license plate holder on it - I'll take pictures then too haha.

After all these months looking for cars, the nightmare with the Passat (that car ended up needing $3k worth of repair work done, which lol no) and the nightmare I had this week checking out a 2003 Nissan Altima (the car was mostly decent, but needed a little work done to it and the guys selling it were SUPER sketchy), I'm also just glad that it's finally OVER. Now I can focus on moving out!

Thanks for all the responses in my last post! I have slowly been making progress on my packing anc cleaning. I've cleaned a lot of the room, and have so far packed my game stuff (minus the PS2), my DVDs, and the majority of my books. I will at LEAST finish picking up my room, packing the rest of my books, and packing the clothes I'm not going to use this week today. Tomorrow will probably involve some more packing of miscellaneous stuff and then taking what I've already packed to my grandma's house. I'll have plenty of time after class on Monday too, SO I think I'm going to be able to pull this off! Haha.

Though I still need to know just how much space I'll have o.O I don't think I'll have that much room for all my stuffed animals *sobs* I don't want to just leave them behind either :( I'll figure something out, somehow.

Edit: Is this flirtatious? "If you ever plan on using the number I gave you, you better use it in this next week or you won't be able to reach me. :P *cough*hinthint*cough*" I sent it to Matt awhile ago... I'm pretty sure that it is, but now it's kinda freaking me out? Not used to flirting with people I know irl, even if I'm doing it via Myspace xD;;

I do still have some serious distraction problems though lol, like the fact that I stopped to do this meme (and this post):

I went out with Miranda today, and finally saw Across the Universe. It was pretty awesome. ♥ On a shallow note, I'd do all the main cast. xD Especially Prudence. I have a bit of a crush on that girl. :)

It helps that she sung the best song in the movie, among many amazing covers. I love it so much that I actually uploaded it to share with you all. :)

I just recently changed my LJ language to French, and it's funny because there's a lot of stuff which hasn't been translated. So it's like, "hey, what's English doing here? lolz"

Little life tidbit: My dad and I went to Starbucks tonight, and one of the employees was a really pretty boy. Like, damn. It made me really wish I had put makeup on. xD

However, it was mortifying because I found out later, in the car, that my dad noticed my eyes light up when I saw him. jshuhrfkjh I hope I'm not obvious about my attractions. ;_;
